I don't think people understands my question. I mean that I have friends at school, but I don't sit with them during lunch. Not like best buddies.
What I mean is that how do I make really GOOD FRIENDS that I can hang out with together.

Also, I am not shy. I just don't know who to talk to. Duh. And I am not one of those wannabes and nerds. I am the average Joe, with good sense of humor and personality. SERIOUSLY!

Arent there those groups in your school?
Here I got like geeks, jocks, greasers, preps, goths, punks and a few skins -basically no wiggers or rappers.

So I just start talking to those I feel I do relate with, and if they are cool I join them for lunch and if thats ok I ask them about where they hang out or where the hot spots are.

The main thing is to take risks. Energy and effort really draw people. Now, don't start putting all your effort into making friends. Do what you do best, find a hobby, and eventually, if you talk enough, some people will notice you. There's not a clearly defined secret to making friends.
Try not to feel left out, and eventually you won't be. As for lunch, ask someone if you can sit with them. Isn't there anyone decent or approachable enough to listen to you?
Who is close to you? What do you like to talk about? The more you know about yourself, the more confident you'll be in finding out about others.

Making friends requires being a friend. Make sure that you aren't overlooking the friends that are also triing to seek you as a friend. Be in control of your choices, don't be lead by false people who don't have commitment or the ability to make good choices because you will alway get caught in the middle of a bad situation. Be outgoing, and take care of yourself first. Others will also see the great qualities you posses and respect you more for the long run if you hold your ground and be stable. Don't let others push you around, but be open to laughing things off as friendly gestures or jokes. Pick your friends and pick your battles if they should come up.

Well I understand you, I'm in High School, the typical shy girl, but I have some friends too, I have lunch with them, we talk and laugh, bla bla, but like REAL friends, I dont have any.
I guess you could eat lunch with some of your pals at school, right? Maybe you dont have them in that lunch period, I guess. In that case you could just seat beside someone one day, someone who you see it's also alone, and then start talking, or in a group.
When you are with your friends you should listen when they are planning something for weekend, and try to get invited too, they wont refuse, I'm sure.

Man, that's tough. Just don't be to outgoing. Just be cool, yourself. Don't make it seem like you are trying to fit in or be good friends. Look at it like this..... If you seem like you have some mystery about you it's only natural that people are going to want to know what your mystery is, even if you aren't really mysterious, just seem that way... right. There is a fine line of being creepy though. Act like you are waiting for Lindsay Lohan to come meet you for lunch.... Being full of confidence will attract a lot of different people. Don't chose your friends let friends chose you....I hope this helps school it hard. Just have confidence.

I was in the exact same situation as you a couple months ago. I'm a frosh in High School and I was the only student that attended my previous middle school that goes to my current high school. I had a lot of trouble finding new friends and starting all over. Especially when everyone else has formed their own groups and no one knows you.

Okay, well now, everything works out fine. Here's how it works, tips and all.

BE YOURSELF. Don't try to fit in to other groups that you think are "cooler". Don't follow or try to copy someone else. Just simply be yourself. You're a cool outgoing guy right? So if you're outgoing, people will start to see that.

BE INVOLVED. Be involved in school and give others a chance to see who you are. Once they see that, they'll start coming to you.

There is no need for you to step up to other people when you already have the potential for others to step up to you. Just follow those tips and you'll soon see people coming up to you instead of you going to them. If you want friends of your same standards, that's the exact way to do it. Have people match up and live up to YOUR standards. Don't push yourself down to live up to other peoples' standards.

Simply be yourself. It Works.

Do you sit alone while eating or are there some students who join you but you dont know them? During lunch time, find a group that is normally segregated and join them, you might find that some are actually good friends.

I dnt feel you need eating buddies because you really just need you. You need confidence in yourself once you get that everything else is a piece of cake because people would be drwn to you like a magnet. Take care of yourselfself first work on smiling alot and simply sayin hello when you see people whether or not they are people you like to hang out with. Start from there...
