there is a duality, the world can hold a sense of perfection and a fallen shame. Perfection is a treasure a sanctuary. I am not talking about pride or self righteousness or obsessive compulsiveness. I am talking about that out of time experience where everything goes into slow mo and then fades...til all that is left is love and a pin point of awareness.

I'm inclined to think that perfection does not exist in human life, but for a moment we can assume that it is. The problem with seeking perfection in one thing is that it will lead to neglect in others (or a big ulcer). Perfection takes time, time that could be used for other things. Most of our lives involve many different things; we have work, families and friends, our personal interests and etc, all of which demand portions of our time. Things need to be balanced; otherwise, if we prioritize one to be "perfect" the others will become more imperfect. In this sense it is a flaw to seek perfection in something. In life there are always ambiguous choices to be made. If we make a choice to be perfect in some way we inevitably deprioritize some other good, so total perfection, as I stated in my original conclusion, cannot be achieved.

Perfection is impossible because like the guy before me said it is a fallacy and illogical. There is no way for something or someone to be perfect ... the world would end. Here is another way to look at it, what you percieve to be perfect may not be perfect to other people therefore perfection is impossible because people will always disagree on what Perfection is.

You can only try to be perfect. But thinking you are perfect is a flaw, because you can't see anything in yourself to improve (and everyone can improve something about themselves). Also, you will have a narrow mind and point of view, because being perfect means being right about everything too.

ohh good one. This is a paradox because if one was perfect there would be no flaw, so for perfection to be a flaw is a fallacy...but it is possible. Kind of like can God make a rock bigger than he could lift. If couldn't then he would not be God, but if he didn't lift it, he would not be God either. Good question.

Because of the human condition there is no perfection. One must have a balance between biological, psycological, sociological, and spiritual aspects of life. If so you will be grounded and not unbalanced by over indulging in one of these over the others. To seek perfection will isolate you from the fraternity of the human race.

TRYING to be perfect is a flaw, because a "perfect" human would be INhuman, just like a lowlife scumbag is inhuman in the opposite extreme.
Besides, there is nothing "perfect" in the universe, it is not natural. It's a human delusion

Didn't anybody tell you? "Nobody is perfect." No such thing. Perfection is neither a flaw or an asset. It doesn't exist.

Perfection is not attainable, because once it is it is no longer perfect. Something imperfect can never achieve perfection. Man is imperfect.
