18K is posibly evidence that it is 18 'carat' gold. ("24 carat" is pure gold, "18 carat" is regular 'gold' used in most jewellery, mixed with other stuff.)
'.925' "pure" is used of metals to indicate they are high quality. ('.999' "fine" = almost totally pure, or not measurably impure.)
If '925 BA' isn't some "Hallmark", to state who made it, in which city, than it may be another indication of good quality. Usually, however, gold and silver should show both 'purity' and a 'Hallmark' which allows the maker and location to be identified.
Go to a jeweller!

Hello!
18K means there are 18 karats of gold in the ring; 925 indicates sterling silver. The BA I don't know for sure--could be the name of the jeweler. Do you know where the ring was made? Does it have a history or is it brand new?? Is it 2 toned?? Have you asked your Aunt??
I suggest you take the ring to a jewelry store and ask for assistance.
I tried search under jewelry markings and silver jewelry markings--there are loads of sites!! When you have nothing to do for a month or more you could go through them!!
Hope I have helped a little! Enjoy your ring!! And tell your Aunt that I am ready to be adopted!! What a generous lady!! You are very lucky!!

I'm a jeweler. 18k is the mark for 18k gold, 925 is the mark for silver, and BA is probably just a manufacturer mark. bring it to a local jeweler they should help you out.

18k means 18k gold but the 925 usually means sterling silver not sure on the ba...does the ring have two different colors on/in it...gold and silver? then that is what it means that its made of gold (18kt) and silver (925)...BA could mean 'base alloy" so it could be it silver overlaid with 18 kt gold

Based on these markings, you have a sterling silver ring with 18k gold plating.
