it isn't based on reality when you see sb as a big, giant spider climbing buildings in the city and saving people, is it?

Have you seen or heard of anybody other than Mr. Peter Parker who had been bitten by a spider and becomes spiderman? If you have, then at least for me, I WOULD believe that Spiderman is a true story.
Till then, can we just arrive at the conclusion that it is NOT a true story? Because the general thumb rule is, "proof that you CAN do it, or we WILL NEVER believe you" NOT "proof that you CANNOT do it, or we WILL NEVER believe you".
