Finnish folklore says that when Santa comes to Finland to deliver gifts, he leaves his sleigh behind and rides on a goat named Ukko instead. According to French tradition, Santa Claus has a brother named Bells Nichols, who visits homes on New Year's Eve after everyone is asleep, and if a plate is set out for him, he fills it with cookies and cakes.

Well, that's cool to know, but that is why every ones traditional holiday is different. cuz everyone is different. According to American tradition, Santa comes on Christmas day and leaves gifts for the children to enjoy. I taught my daughter that "Santa Claus", had another name this week, "Saint Nickolaus"....she was surprised..L.

umm...don't mean to be rude but I'm pretty sure that Santa is fictional. and if these folkloric stories are true, i think it is mighty creepy for some stranger to be breaking into my house to leave anything behind, whether it's gifts or a goat.
