She is Gwen Stafani, and she is posed in a very erotic manner, and the poster states that the CD has very explicit material. I am a teacher here at this High School. I am just flabbergasted by this lack of common sense. What in the world is wrong with our public schools when we are promoting sexually explicit CD's and erotic photography? And what's really bad is that my principal sees nothing wrong with this. I have to admit that If I had children, I would never send them to the school for which I work.

You are right to be shocked. Some Prins. are no better than the kids when it comes to common sense. I am sure there will be at least one complaining parent. Maybe your school hasn't seen enough pregnant teens or teens with AIDS. Write an anonymous letter to the school board. Best of luck to you and Merry Christmas!!

Well... you're not going to like my answer much. Get OVER yourself. There are far worse things in this world to worry about than the sexually explicit nature of Gwen Stefani's CD, or what she is wearing. I think many of your students may find it odd that you think it's erotic.

Worry less about their moral salvation and more about the quality of their education, and you'll be a far better teacher.

I agree with you 100%. I'm shocked that the principal is okay with it! I bet that a lot of the parents wouldn't like it either. Have you spoken with any of the other teachers? Are you the only one who feels this way? Perhaps complaints from the students' parents may have an impact on this? Or from the teachers? I would complain if my daughter got a poster like that from school.

nothing wrong with young adults learning about their humane nature...I have 2 teens and never censored their music as my parents had for me nor raised them to strict as i was and sneak out many times while they sleep. My kids are free to speak their minds as the mature and learn about life as they grow. Nothing wrong with a naked body...U came into the world that way! There are just to many prudes in the world.

The kids are seeing nothing they haven't seen a dozen times before. Your Victorian values are misplaced in trying to protect teenagers from reality.
