I scanned hundreds of old family photo's and made a Family Memories slideshow on DVD for all of my adult children, as well as my elderly parents. Rather than just using the photo's, I made digital scrapbook pages, then used those as the slideshow pages.

For the girls, lampwork (handmade glass beads by me) jewelry.
For the guys...probably tie-dyed shirts...again...they love them but I'm getting bored of making them.
I make all kinds of art all year so it's usually a matter of looking at my big pile of stuff and deciding who gets what. Lately I've been making glass beads and jewelry like crazy because I sell them and make a bunch of extra money around christmas...the tie-dye is what I SHOULD be doing right now so I'm not doing it at the last minute...again...
A few years ago I was too busy to make everything and I bought gifts...I got complaints!! I love my family soooooo much and I'm so happy that they love my art!

Well since I just moved away from my hometown, I wanted something special for the people I miss the most. I made my grandfather a wooden box decoupaged with pictures of he and I as I was growing up. My grandma also got a recipe decoupage box with pics of she and I. I'm doing a similar tray for my mom. My husband just got out of the navy, so I'm doing a shadow box with all of his medals and patches and ribbons and such..., my best friend has been looking for new recipes, so I've compiled a bunch of recipes that I know she'll love & I've made them into a cook book for her. My uncle and his fiancee got "bride & groom" wedding glasses I etched for them. I also made a ton of candy & fudge which I shipped off to everyone else along with handmade ornaments. Good luck!!

I'm doing Fleece scarves for everyone, still have to do them but they're easy, I've done Christmas ornaments, a Mantle cover, trying to finish up a table topper and worked on a qulit but that isn't going to be finished.

So far I have done etched glass wine glasses, orange marmalade, plum jam, too many cookies, brownies, and fudge. And I also bought plain brown gift bags (for the above), and have decorated those with stencils, glitter, fabric, buttons, etc.

I made a king sized afghan for my middle daughter and her husband. I made a vignette of Santa and his bag in a small clear box with snow for my best friend. I have been painting ornaments. I have also made a few snow people. That is so far!

My kids made their grandma a shirt that said " We Love MeMe". then all three put there hand prints on it. We are also gonna send their Papa down in Texas a framed picture of all them wearing San Antonio Spurs outfits and holding a poster saying " Go Spurs Go!!" I know it's corny but we live in Illinois and hes a HUGE Spurs Fan . we thought he could put it on his desk at work.

wow! making gifts is... well, amazingly fun if you're into who you're making it for and they know how to appreciate it. like, for example, my best friend. i made him a calender of our summer memories with pics and a hidden not (computerized, of course) and he loved it. and he said he loved it when i make things for him, unlike my ex-bf who believes people don't like things that are made by hand. they don't mean anything to him. but, since my best friend loves everything i make, i made a CD complete with songs about best friends, another calender with a hidden message, and a christmas card. i'm sure he'll love it because i love him and he loves me. have fun and merry christmas! =D
