the word is meaningless for one thing its dirived from emotional.
there is no such thing as an emo person because
A) everyone is emotional, everyone has emotions, its life. The problem is when you let certain (sad) emotions take over then you become depressed which is not "emo" just unstable.
B) emo started out as a sub genre of punk, just more "emotional" punk. not a type of fashion, or a type of person. musical genre!
its stereotype that has gotten way out of hand and just needs to die out now, no different then goth, prep, punk, loser, oucast... whatever. just a stereotype.
