Ok well I went to the doctor that lives across the street, he's an anestiologist (sp?) and we just went to his hosue so we wouldnt have to pay like 200 dollars to get a peice of kleenex removed. First he flushed it like 15 times with peroxide ane ethyl alcohol. Then he decided he would have to pull it out, so he used a hair pin (didnt have anything else) but before that he put a local anesthetic in my ear so i wouldnt feel it. Well as he was pulling it, I still felt the pin and kinda moved fast and I felt it hit somewhere in my ear, but it wasnt loud or didnt hurt, so it probably wasnt the ear drum.

Well he said he got it all out, theres just a VERY tiny peice left next to my ear drum and he said it will come out by itself. Its been 2 days now and I can hear but not as good as I did before. Plus, I have constant ringing (not loud) and my ear just feels "full" like it does when you're on an airplane. Whats going on? Will I regain my hearing fully?

While it was very kind of your Dr. friend from across the way to try to help out to save you some cash, he was probably taking a chance with his Medical license in doing so; but that's not the point. The point here is that he did the best he could with the primative "tools" that he had on hand. Unfortunately for you his treatment did not 100% completely or sucessfully resolve your problem, infact, it only worsened it.

What you need to do now, is to go to that Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor who charges like $ 200.00 to get a piece of kleenex removed. (How much is the hearing in one ear worth to you?)
If he asks, DO NOT MENTION that your other Doctor friend tryed to help you first before you came to him. Tell him you tryed to remove the kleenex your self - and describe everything you and DR. Neightbor did except the (local anesthetic, except this time you say that you were flying solo.

Now you have an "Expert" who is "working in his field of expertize", who is equipped with all of the "proper instruments" to investigate, test, & treat you injuries in accordance with standardized protocols, and who is specially trained to remove the bit of remaining paper tissue from the outer ear canal. This doctor can also put you on a steroid regimin to control swelling, and on antibitotics to fight off any infection that might be present from any scratches from the hir pin. You've alos now got an established medical record claim established, incase there is a further. Good Luck.

I'm pulling for you.

Your friend across the street is not a friend.
First, warm water would have been better. second, never put a sharp object in your ear.
But, the feeling of it feeling full is probably fluid.
Try and sleep on your side to let any fluid that might be there come out. If your not better in a couple of days,SEEK HELP FROM A REAL DOCTOR.

Well first of all wy did you put kleenex in it? And it must be ear wax. That what make your ear fell "full". Ask the doctor to pluck it all out for you. Than trust me you'll feel better. good luck

Since he rinsed it so much I would say you have a fluid build up now in your ear......Must go to the doctor to get something to dry it up and remove remainig kleenex...sounds like your doctor friend should stick to his profession and not others...............
