From where and when? It would be kind of silly to call him "Abdul", only to find out that that was not actually a name used in the middle ages (it was sometimes used as a *prefix* to a Muslim name, but it was not a name itself). It would be even sillier to do this with a story set in, say, Scandinavia (13th Warrior notwithstanding).

For actual medieval names, I recommend the Medieval Names Archive:
http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/

It has articles on almost every time and place in medieval history. For example, here's a list of names found in a tax roll in 1332 in England:
http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/mari/LincLSR/GivenMasculineAlpha.html
The last names from that tax roll are divided up into many pages; the links are at the bottom of this page:

Some suggestions put together from this tax roll source: Hubert de Nastendres; Reiner Dunnyng; Reginald Dyrewell...

Tiran is good. But we'd need to know more about what sort of villain.
For a thinking villain, how about Lord Gordrath, Duke of Castlevane.

And for an evil knight, a warrior sort, how about Sir Kyron of the Moors?

And for a female seductress, Lady Silthefayne, with her huge black dog, Zhondo.

Brother Thadeus-during medieval times a lot of villains were associated with the Catholic church. And they were pretty much untouchable. For some real horrors look at the Spanish Inquisition.
