Just all of a sudden doesn't want to talk to you anymore. If this has ever happened to you, how did you react, were you more shocked or hurt by it? Or worse, did that happen when you most needed a friend or someone to talk to?

Yeah, that's happened to me. I was on the phone with my friend and all of a sudden, I could hear her mom in the background yelling and saying stuff like "tell her not to call my phone. I dont want you with her. you need to stay away from her" and that hurt me more than anything because the girl was my best friend and her mom was like my second mother.. I don't know what I did but I've learned to cope with it. She goes to my school now..I think she's cool with it and I tried to talk to her more so that maybe we could become friends again..but it didn't work out. All because of her mother, we couldnt make our friendship work.

The best thing you can do is try to get past it, and move on if you can't seem to cope with the loss of a friend. Try to become friends again but don't push too hard if you don't see them trying to help too.. :]

Yes that has happened to me in the past. I hurts a lot when it happens, and I don't like to think about things like that, but I did find out who my real friends were. So I guess it was good that I found that out. It still hurts though.

Yeah, I had a friend who just out of nowhere decided that we couldn't be friends anymore. She said that I never had time for her (even though she'd moved away and we lived 1 hr apart so it was hard to see her) and that she needed a friend who could spend more time with her. It just seemed so strange to me that she'd completely want to stop being my friend because of that. I would think that she'd understand that it's hard to keep in constant contact with somebody so far away from you. She'd made up a lot of things in her head about me...such as that I was throwing parties and not inviting her. She was just constantly paranoid that I was betraying her or would betray her. The whole thing was very strange and she just didn't want to be my friend.

However, after the fact, I'm kind of happy about it, because she basically just caused stress in my life. I had to ask myself if I really wanted somebody around who was going to make life more difficult and I decided the answer to that was no.

yea that happened to me. i might know the reason but it's so retarded. and if that retarded thing is the reason she stopped talking to me then that's even more retarded. we were good freinds too and even if we were'nt good freineds then that would still of been dumb reason. but i dont really care, if they're going to be like that then just move on, peopel come and go sometimes, just make new friends or something.

I was shocked and hurt. Thankfully I have other friends, but it hurts especially when the person says we'll always be friends.

I hate to say I've been the one to do that to a couple of girls just cause they started getting on my nerves, looking back I regret it now cause I hate to sit at the lunchroom table all alone, I wish now I hadn't have been so mean and told them they were getting to me and work it out instead of just cutting them loose.

Yes people come and go out of our lives at times. But you have to look at it in another way. If they leave then they were never your true friend to start with..
