The change in barometric pressure causes many people to sense an oncoming storm or major change in weather. Often arthritis develops where a previous joint or bone injury occurred and the changes in pressure seem to affect those areas. I live in a hurricane prone area and can usually tell if we are in for a bad one based on how bad my knees and hips hurt. I joke with my doctor that I should take a job as a weather forecaster as my body is often more accurate than the forecast!

Like many of the others have said. The pressure from the storm system changes causing them to feel something a bit painful in their joints.

I do because I have arthritis and my husband can also because he has an artificial disc in his back. It is nothing to worry about. Its just your body responding to the drop in temp.
