My most valuable material possession right now would have to be my guitar! I sing, play & write songs. It's my therapy. When I'm blue, when I have insomnia, when I'm stressed, when I'm feeling creative, I pick up my guitar & write another song. I'm working on a CD which will be out next year. I play every Monday at my favourite bar and will be performing at a music centre in January. I couldn't live without my blue takamine acoustic cutaway! I wish I didn't have to work my regular job & could spend every day with my guitar! (I paint too but music is my focus right now...)

I don't own him, but helped to create him, and have raised him on my own since he was a toddler. I can't imagine life without my son. All other "things" I possess pale in their importance, and I would gladly do without all of them given a choice between my son and something material.

I have found that you can do without most things if you have to. Try it, it is very liberating to realise that you don't need what you thought you did.

Having said that, I would find it difficult to live without my grandson.

For usefulness...my computer. For delight, my Kirman rug, which is unusual because it's all pale pastels and perfect to me, and just looking at it makes me feel calmer.
