Another great thing would be inexpensive places to hold a wedding and/or reception - not just those cheap chapels in Vegas and Reno.

Perhaps a few things...
1. Gay weddings (yes I'm being serious)
2. Low-income weddings
3. Wedding for different religions (not just your typical Christian wedding)
4. Dresses, Tuxes, etc. for larger size people.
5. A list of the appropriate duties and responsibilities for the bride's maids and groom's men. At times (such as in my wedding), these people have no clue as to their duties that they are expected to carry out, without being asked 15 times!
6. Bars and/or restaurants around the country that will cater to weddings
7. Wedding checklists
8. At-home crafts to save money for the wedding. Examples: How to make your own bouquet or veil.
Hope this helps
Merry Christmas and good luck with your magazine!!! :)

One of the major things for me was seeing "all" these wonderful gowns and shows in major cities. It was like nothing existed outside of the major cities in Canada and the USA. What about a section on small towns and how to prepare for a wedding? Brides cant afford to spend $500 or more to go to New York and see what there is and THEN spend money on gowns and the rest of it all. And then there are the gowns you fall in love with...but arent available everywhere. Even the ideas in the magazines....great ideas....but look across the country and realize that in the middle of North Dakota or Saskatchewan we are lucky if we have a craft store never mind what they are talking about!
I understand the bridal magazines show "dreams", but to come back to earth to where many brides are in reality (rent, school, low budget weddings) would appeal to a lot of people. I always shook my head at these gorgeous weddings that the dresses cost $10,000 and the weddings were $50,000 and UP. I wonder how these couples dealt with the debt afterwards or if their trust funds covered it all.

1) Articles on expectations of a marriage. THE REAL DEAL and not some fancy pants advice. Might help reduce the rate of divorces around the world.
2) More pages devoted to the groom. He is part of the wedding too so I don't see why grooms are given less "air time".
