According to Wikipedia, a pigment named urochrome gives urine its yellow color. It's a breakdown product of a blood protein, hemoglobin. The more dehydrated you are, the more yellower your urine will be because there is less water to dilute this urochrome, while on the other hand, normal water intake will result in a paler color.

It's the waste coming from your inside. Drink more water and
it'll clear it up. Stay hydrated, keep your liver clean as well as
the rest of your organs. Sometimes when it is yellow you may
have an infection somewhere down the line so make you are
always keeping yourself clear to an extent. Talk to your Dr.
He/She can give you more details.
