For some reason pressing F8 continually isnt working? Is there another way to do it? And yes I do know how to do it the F8 way, it just isnt working, so don't insult me by saying 'try again'

Yes. Go to Start, Run and type:

msconfig

click the boot.ini tab

sroll down and check /safeboot.

hit apply, and ok. restart

it will boot into safemode.

just remmeber to uncheck it when you are done.

First of all make sure your keyboard isnt messed up.Just keep pressing your F8 contuniesly until something happens. Or read your computers manual of any kind and your motherboard. If you want all the details (i can find your manuals on the net) email me salviballer10@yahoo.com

Well, I guess if she could go to start, she wouldn't need to ask. If none of the other ideas work, take out the little battery on the motherbord and confuse it. I have had luck that way. It forces it into the default settings. About all it can mess up is the date and time, easy to reset.

You just can't lean on the button, because serval different processes are occurring durring bootup.

The rapid fire approach is best. Press the F8 button repeatedly as soon as your computer starts. If you see the WinXP logo, you know you've missed the opportunity. Reboot and try again.
