Homework question?

Basically he expresses his view of love by the actions of his characters. They are ideal types, and a microcosm for the real world.

Example: In Romeo and Juliette you see his views on how important love is and how more important it is that all people should love each other. In R and J you have 2 people that are so in love they don't let their families bigotry get in the way of them being together. However, that bigotry is so bad despite all their best efforts both Romeo and Juliette end up dead because of their families hatred of each other.

Thus: Importance of people being in love shown in R and J actions. The importance of people in general getting along show in how the families actions get their children killed

Unfortunately for the first answer, Shakespeare didn't write Romeo and Juliet as a beautiful passion between two lovers.

It was almost satire. It wasn't love at first sight. They didn't even know each other, and they met once before the balcony scene in a ballroom, and then only briefly. Romeo was a 17 year old who wanted a girl, and saw Juliet as an opportunity to get with a pretty girl. Juliet was a rebelious young teen who didn't want to marry her cousin, the suitor her father chose for her. So she did what any other teenage girl did-went for the first man to show interest in her. The problem with this is their love got messy and tangled.

You know how it goes from there.
