My family and I went to the Aladdin buffet (rated #1 in Las Vegas) a couple of months ago. All five of us were doubled over and on the toilet for several days afterward because of food poisoning. We contacted the hotel, but still haven't received any response.
I'm sure that it was a one-off experience, but the lack of response will keep me from going there ever again. Go to the buffet at the Sahara or Rio. They're both really good and aren't as expensive as the Aladdin.

The absolutely best buffet in Las Vegas is the Sunday Brunch in the steakhouse at Bally's. Sturgeon caviar, Lobster, Sushi, beef tenderloin, and lots more. At $62 it's also the most expensive.

the Rio is not bad,, but try to go , when late lunch over laps into dinner, as dinner buffet are almost $37 a person plus tax.
I really rather do the lunch buffet as the dinner are too much $$,,but yes the variety of food is overwhelming..
Bellagio is great for lunch...

The Spice Market Buffet in the Aladdin is delicious. I enjoyed their seafood the best, king crab legs, shrimp, cod and all the rest.

The Buffet at Belagio - good
Rio buffet - ok
Wynn's buffet - the best seafood and meat

The Rio Hotel has a buffet that is amazingly HUGE! It is off the strip, but worth the trip over there.
