Yes, the premium pack comes with a hard drive which lets you play some of the original xbox games (halo and halo 2 is playable), download content, and save your memory. If you get the core system you can't do none of that because it doesn't contain a hard drive which means you can't play any original games and your gonna need to get a memory card so you could save your games.
