In some books they're called Wyrlyings, in others Sucklyings. But I think it would be better (if you're writting a book) for you to come up with your own ^__^ originality is the best thing ever! However, if you're looking for a word staring with "D" I would try Draco. Take you pick and Merry Christmas.

A baby dragon is generally referred to as a hatchling or a dragonet. After they get some size to them, they are called a variety of things including weyrlings (Dragonriders of Pern).
