i'm a Democrat and lived in NYC in course of the right of Rudy's 2d time period as mayor. beforehand human beings make certain to vote for him, or all of us for that count number, they ought to understand the position he stands on topics. maximum those who see him understand him for basically 2 issues, the decrease in crime in NYC and how he dealt with 9/11. i will say this about Guliani. As a Democrat he's both my well known candidate and the scariest candidate interior the Republican field. He has the superb probability at triumphing a known election of any Republican, and, oddly, he's the Republican i'd least options triumphing. he's a able manager, I percentage a lot of his social perspectives, he's a Yankee fan and that i stumbled on his demeanor comforting after 9/11. there replaced right into a huge decrease in crime right here for the period of his words as mayor, although the credit for which could not completely his (Police Commissioner invoice Bratton benefits some credit besides... and that i receives killed for this yet so does invoice Clinton. definite, crime went down everywhere interior the country in the course of the 90s. It basically went down swifter right here). He appointed good judges at the same time as he replaced into right here, he has a experience of humor, all in all he's an excellent lengthy island city Republican. We develop 'em diverse right here. i do not pay interest to the personal lives of applicants, so the three better halves and the affair do not worry me. he's under no circumstances campaigned or been a staunch supporter of "kin values" so there is not any hypocrisy there. If Rudy were given the nomination, i'd evaluate vote casting for him relying on who the Democrats nominated. There are 3 or 4 Democrats i'd take over Giuliani with out wondering, after that i'd ought to furnish it some concept.

As a liberal, i would vote for Guilliani (depending on who was running for the Dems) because he basically is a Democrat wearing a Republican's suit. he supports many liberal programs like abortion and same-sex unions. he is far and away the best republican possibility. God help us all if John McCain or Condi Rice run. I still place him third on my "fantasy list" behind Obama and Clinton.
However, he will NOT win the election. the Christian right will not support him because of his believes and his past. he has too many skeletons in his closet. no republican will ever win an election in the foreseeable future without support of the Christian right. and i dont think enough democrats will vote for him to make up the loss of the GOPs biggest support group. either way, a democrat will win the next election, hopefully with Obama taking office.

Given the fact that we have a way to go before we elect a new President I would say definitely not. I mean, if he were the Republican nominee I would. But during the Republican primaries I'm already committed to a candidate that much better reflects my views - Eric Kirkland.
He's bringing new ideas and new energy into politics and Guilliani has a long way to go to win the Republican nomination.

No, I am voting Obama no matter who is nominated.
Will the Extremist Religious Right Wing Cons support Rudy?
After all, he had a divorce (shock and horror) and was involved with another woman while he was still married.
Possibly he even got an illicit BJ at City Hall. I hope for his sake he did. Maybe we should hire a special prosecutor and hold hearings??

I will definitely vote for him if he is the Republican nominee. As for the primaries, I'm leaning Romney pretty strongly. When it comes down to it, I'm a one issue voter. I think Rudy would make an exceptional war-time leader and so am open to the idea of putting my differences on guns, and life issues aside if he can convince me he would nominate originalists to the Supreme Court and other federal bench openings.

No. He is a RINO. he wants more gun control, approves of abortion, and is for gay marriage.(i personally could care less about the gay marriage but the other things are important to me. Newt Gingrich should be our next president . I hate that Hillary and obama are the best Democrats have to offer. No woman or Black has ever been President.

It's either him or Hillary, if she signs up. I am weary of the Repb regime however.

absolutely not...he was a bad mayor who got famous because of 911 but who is entirely under-qualified for the job...doesn't matter though because the republican right will never let him through the primary
