When it comes to sex my long term boyfriend is very simple, and he told me he likes it that way. Same 2 positions, very quiet, its just not hot! No lingerie (most the time, if it is its RARE), no toys, no new positions, none of the billions of things they make to make the experience more fun...nothing that would spice up our sex life. He has always told me he likes it plain and simple, when I need some type of stimulation. Well, its not that big of an issue but when I bring things up about new positions or toys he just isnt interested. This past week, I was on his ebay account (selling things) and came across his past items he has bought in like the past 4 years. Well, lets just say, he has bought PLENTY of items in the past, and the dates put it back to the time he was with some of his ex's. I know its not a big deal, but why would he buy things online from "sinful pleasures" then deny me or anything like that now?Why would a guy suddenly not be interested in that stuff?

has he always been this way? do you know if he's had any bad or embarrassing sexual experiance?
some people have very different expectations about sex. some want it everyday, others once a week. some want to try new things, others want to stick to the tried and true.
have you tried to do something new.. or are you just talking to him about it over dinner? does he like pornography? or going to strip clubs?
if it were me, i would take the initative to change it.. (depending on his comfort level) when he comes surprise him with you wearing lingerie, mood music.. lead him to the couch and give him a sexy dance, maybe have him watch you touch yourself playfully. ask him if he wants to help.. tease him, let him get worked up.. take your time. dont rush. stay on the couch and let things progress.. you can either let him take the lead and do as he pleases, or talk dirty to him and tell him how you want it. or show him. sometimes men get stuck in a rut, because they figured out what you like, and are afraid of doin something new.. they dont wanna feel stupid.. just stroke his ego, and let him know you like everything he's doing.

Perhaps he views you as the one he wants to take home and introduce to mother. Seriously, I think he may have a bit more respect for you than the others in his past. Keep with him, and let him know that you like to frolick around and try new things. Let him know that you're interested in exploring things together "with" him. This will give him the feeling that his sepcial one is asking to try out and learn new stuff together, as opposed to bringing the experience of sexual adventrures into the relationship.

I can only assume that he got hurt badly in this area and does not want to risk being hurt again. I would ask him, though, about the past stuff that he bought and even if he gets mad just bear it. He is not aiding your relationship by not talking about something that matters to you.
Keeping the peace as you do is not a way to conduct a relationship either.

I think he just had some bad experinces with some of those "things" he bought on line when he was with his ex's and he just doesnt want to repeat them.just talk to him and tell him to be honest to you! You deserve that! Man...no way could I put up with simple sex.....boring!!!!!

I know he will be mad if you tell him you looked up things he bought before and won't trust you,but if you are that unhappy I would find a new man

It's possible that he had a bad experience with one of the ex's and doesnt want the same to happen with you.

He may be interested in that stuff but just not with you.
If he really cared he would comprise.
You have to decide how important this is to you and how important is it to you that he doesn't seem to care about what makes you happy.

I think that if she is asking to see the condom in his wallet then it is kind of flirting. Same would be if a guy asked to see a girls bra. Thats just my opinion.
