1. The URL Section is too long - I want to shorten the width.
2. I want to move the tools (Home, refresh, feeds, etc) to the same line as links.
3. How can I get rid of the tabs portion? I want to make my IE toolbars work on two lines, not three.

I don't think you can do what you are asking in question 1 and 3, but for question 2, just right click in the toolbar and make sure to unlock the tool bars, from there you should be able to drag and place the toolbars on the same line. Then just right click the toolbar again and lock it.

Hope that helps a little ;)

go to the tools pull down, then the toolbar with the arrow and deselect the ones you want out. in the same menu on the bottom is customize, you can take out and put in all those icons. As for the address bar, you have to keep it the way it is. I hope this helps.

I also had trouble when I first installed Internet Explorer 7.

But, I figured it out, and now I like it.

I hide my toolbar, and I customized it to look the way I wanted.

You can do that, too.

Just start using the RIGHT button on your mouse, which opens alternative menus.

Play with it, and like me, you'll eventually have it set the way YOU want.

See that may not a significant difficulty. particular web pages use javascript's to triumph over this browsers potential to demonstrate status bar internet hyperlinks and demonstrate there own messages or no longer something. it relatively is preclude the consumer from understanding the place he's being redirected or a link factors to.

I believe its pretty much stuck that way. If you want, you can always uninstall IE 7 (Windows IE 7) and go back to IE 6.
