You might be missing a codec or need to re-install your player. Do a Google or Yahoo search for gSpot, and it will tell you what codecs your video file needs and what ones you actually have installed.

and by freezing up, you mean it starts to play and stops playing?? if so, you need a better graphics card. if it wouldn't play at all, you need to get a decoder.
