I got a new comp, and dont want it to slow down, is 398 KB Enough to make it slower?

398 KB of what? Are you sure you don't mean MB? 398 is a very odd number, 256MB +128MB+14MB, although if your video card only borrowed 2MB, you might physically have 256/128/16.

Upgrading to 512 MB might improve performance, but it depends on what you are running. If your use of the computer is light, 398 MB might be more than enough.

You definitely need at least 500 MB of RAM and probably 1 GIG to really have a computer that runs efficiently, particularly with new versions of software coming out that will expect these levels. Good luck.
