I thought it was a good movie but was that really needed? I always thought filming 2 underage girls kissing each other was against the law but I guess it's acceptable nowadays. This just re-emphasizes my opinion of a lowered moral ground in today's entertainment. Last, there could have been different ways of expressing teenage frustration and exploration without acting this scene out like having them just talk about kissing and leaving it at that. But what is shocking makes money and that's the sad reality

That scene disturbed me and it was inappropriate. It should not have been in there at all.

Well it was neccassary, just as you were pretty disgusted or shocked so many people also were. But that was the point of the movie, to shock and open the eyes of society. Plus both those girls were 18/legal. and the brunette wrote the movie exactly to how her experiences were...one movie that did have unneccasary sex in it was Hostel..

I love that movie. Even though the girls were kissing it just was apart of the scene. That movie taught me a little bit of things about life and what goes on. Don't you think that peircing scene was EWW..?

Well.... It is not any worse than the movie Kids. Have you seen that one. If you think Thirteen was disturbing, Kids will definitely upset you. I didn't see it as being necessary as part of the movie, but nowadays, it is what is happening.

No offence, but I thought the whole movie was unnecessary.
I honestly could not bring myself to watch it that far.

I just didn't enjoy the thing at all. I'm sorry. But any kissing scene with two women when they are not lesbian is wrong.

I agree. That was just for the horny little teenage boys to lose their minds over and for some publicity. It didn't make the movie any better anyways.

Absolutely...I didn't think it contributed to the plot - very gratuitous.
