I am on the nice list and can prove it because I answered your question with a nice answer instead of being ugly and sarcastic which I could have easily been but didn't feel it was worth the bother. Merry Christmas

I honestly believe I am on the nice list. Here is my reasoning: This past year I have stood by my husbands decisions, been a good mother, born a child and have helped my husband take in his very ill mother and grandmother with out complaint. I moved my family home, closer to all of our family and have done everything without a peep of complaint. I have helped my own parents in thier adjustments of an Empty NEst and have decided that my place is here. I have moved all over Hell and back and even lived in a Motel for 6 months and made that a home as well for my family. Found a house to rent within 2 days when other members of the family turned thier back on thier own mother and sister.... NOW YOU TELL ME WHOSE BEEN GOOD LOL

I have to be honest. There was a time that I could gallantly report, I was always on Santa's NICE LIST. I was always thinking of other people, putting others before myself, giving away my last - whatever, always finding something nice to say about someone, always cheering someone else up. But this year. HECK TO THE NAW! I have not been the goodie two shoes my reputation has preceeded me for. I have my share of life's ups and downs and I have not taken the downs with the best of intentions. I have had too many pity parties, I have been alone, I have helped old boyfriends out of trouble only to find them hooking up with some other girl and STILL calling me for help! I have been hurt, sick, misunderstood, and moody. I have done some things that I'd never tell anyone about. No, I have not been good. But , I remember my mom telling me something a while ago before she died. I used to wonder why my nice, sweet talking Mom seemed to change all of a sudden. She would tell people exactly what she wanted them to know and not sugar coat her comments. My left eyebrow would raise because I could not believe this was my mom. Then she said - 'when you get to be my age, you can say what you want to say to folks - who''s going to do anything about it? I'm almost at the point that I understand what she meant. It's not about hurting people's feelings, or making people feel bad, but there comes a time in ones life that you have to speak what you feel and later for what anyone else thinks about it. I have never been one to rebell - I've always done what was expected of me - and lately, my attitude has been - "to heck with it". When I wanted to stay home and rest because I was tired - I did it. Before, I'd drag myself into work regardless. This has been an eye-opening year. Yes, my bones have cracked louder, my hearing isn't as acute as before, my hair is turning grey in spite of the coloring, my patience is short as a match stick, and yes, I've been more vocal about my feelings and have not been as concerned about what other people have thought about it either - so perhaps my name on Santa's 'nice list" has been eliminated - but you know what - I feel better! HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
