Not all of the Rugrats are Jewish. The only Jewish characters in the original Rugrats series are Tommy (half-Jewish), Dil (half-Jewish), Didi, Grandma Minka, and Grandpa Boris. The other characters only participate in Passover and Chanukkah out of respect for their friend Didi. Otherwise, the other families celebrate Christmas and the Pickles celebrate Christmas because Stu is Christian. Didi celebrates Christmas and Easter out of respect for her husband's beliefs. This is not uncommon in families with one Jewish parent and one non-Jewish parent. It just means twice as many presents. The Rugrats also have a Kwanzaa episode as a nod to the Carmichaels' African-American heritage. I think it's nice that Rugrats showcases other cultures. I'm sure Jewish kids feel somewhat left out when all they see on TV is Christmas specials.

Not all of them are. I didn't even know Pickles was a Jewish name. I suppose if they were Kosher Dills.
I forget Didi's maiden name, but her parents are Russian or Polish or some other easten European, aren't they?
Charlotte certainly isn't, nor Dr. Carmichael, and Certainly not Chas, Chuckie, Kira, or Kimi.
