Try proving the existence of Infrared radiation. This is not as hard as what it may sound, set up a piece of shaded black card with a thermometers bulb sitting on a white strip of card running down the center, then split a ray of sun light that has been focused using another card with a small hole cut in it (approx. 0.5cm or less) using geometric cystal so that the sun light forms a spectrum. Manoeuvre the crystal so that the lowest part of the red section of the spectrum is almost touching the thermometer, then record the reading before and after waiting a while. This will need to be done in a cooler environment with very little drafts. Hope this helps.
