My boyfriend and I are finishing up college and having been dating/living together for 2 years. At 2 points in our relationship he said we're "engaged to be engaged", but so what? We live like a married couple except I don't have a commitment, or a ring as a promise for commitment. He has agreed that I will help him chose my ring, but no talk of it what-so-ever. Am I wrong for wanting this? I don't know what to do.

I always let him bring the topic up, I never have because I don't want to seem "pushy".

=I agree with the other answerer and also that he is stalling and possibly he does not want to commit.Do you really want to waste your time with this undeceive man while you may be missing out on a golden opportunity with someone who wants to commit. Also be aware that some guys just give a girl a ring to shut them up. I know this sounds harsh, but I am not the one breaking your heart. Try to have a good holiday.

I suppose you want your security.

But I can understand waiting until you are both finished school, and on with earning a decent income. And from what I have seen, there is nothing more stressful than getting married right after graduation.

I suggest you concentrate on getting your best possible schooling.
