Santa is a symbol for what christmas should be about. Giving not recieving. Although, technically Christmas is celebrating Christian Jesus's birth. So how DID Santa get thrown into the mix? OBVIOUSLY because he is real. Why else? It's simple llogic
XD

Yes I do believe in Santa, even though I have 2 kids and a husband of my own. I belive that this belief is part of the magic of Christmas. Besides the altomate joy I feel for the birth of Christ, I believe with out the "magical" feeling of Santa that the childhood is dead in all of us. My father has a sign he made in his house he places above the stockings every year and I have a similar one myself it says "You must believe to recieve". You must believe in God to recieve forgivness and therefore you must belive in Sant ato recieve that anticipation for Christmas morning

NOOOOOOO! Never did even as a child. Easter Bunny either and I felt terribly uncomfortable in any church at a very early age too. Something just seemed silly there even though I was a very good kid with high morality and a desire to do good just because. Even as a kid I had a hard time with the heaven and hell concept and sickness as a punishment from God and health as a reward. Santa Claus, God, Easter Bunny, all hooey! Perhaps they all make people behave better but not me. I'll be a nice person anyway....reward or no.

I believe there was once a Chris Kringle and that he was the old day's Santa but that he died and the kids' parents decided to carry it on.
