what i usually do when i want to get a mesage across is carve a jackolantern and stick a knife in it with a note attached that says "YOU" then leave it on their doorstep. your point is understood and no harm done

sounds like your not getting your pants back...and that is a cheep leson to not lend your stuff to people. I would let her know that you know that sometimes things happen but if she is really that irresponsible and feels that she owes you nothing for the pants, it show what kinda person she is. And stay away from her!!
If your parents bought them, maybe you should have your parents call her parents and ask for the pants or the money! This just might cause more problem than the pants are worth. Think about what happened next time someone wants to borrow something of yours either take something to hold untill you get your stuff back.
Trust no one!! (that has not earned your trust.)
good luck....

Ask her where she thinks she lost them. And let her know that you dont really believ her. Tell her that its not the pants your upset about its the fact that she obviously hasnt shown you the respect you deserve by loosing them in the first place. After all you were nice enough to let her borrow them.... borrow being the key word not misplace!!
Who looses a pair of pants?
I am in the similar situation, i lent a friend two books & she lost them, but she is replacing them

get something out of her at least!

Don't drag it out into a big fight. Tell your mom. If she really cares about it, let her deal directly with the girl's mother to work it out. Chances are, though, that she'll think it's worth the $20 not to deal with it, and buy you some more pants. Either way, let the adults deal with it.

Threaten to let out a big bad secret. Even if you dont have one. Make a juicy one up and lay it on her. Rumors do very well at shaming people. In private tell her you will clean the rumor up if she gives you back your pants or pays for them. Ask for more than 20 dollars tho.

Oh thats great , I love the poor thing. Yes use that. Yes yes yes. Very good idea up there.

Go to her home and ask for them. Or go home with her after school..... I hate when that happens. I wont lend out anymore because of that.. Good luck

Ask her one last time, and if she doesn't give them back be really loud and obnoxious about it. Tell everyone that she refuses to give you back your pants and humiliate her about how she's poor.

approach her at school in front of her friends and ask her for them back, or else get her to pay up. she'll be too embarrased to refuse your request. if she doesn't do anything, continue to pester her until she gives in. good luck!!!
