I've noticed that there are many gorgeous women who wouldnt mind dating a not so gorgeous man... But when it comes to the man, its usually a big NO to not good-looking women....
So what are your thoughts on this....

That men are shallow
Woman look for a good personality and sense of humor. Looks doesn't matter..Its a bonus if you get both in one but we want someone who will be kind and have a good heart. 90% of the time we already know that going into it when looking for someone. Men....Like to burn thru a 100 gals before they go...
OOOOH thats what I should of been doing all the time.

My boyfriend pointed the same observation out several months ago after I asked him what made him ask me out on our first date. He told me it was because I'm pretty. I thought he was just trying to be cheesy, but he said it was true, that had I not been attractive to him physically, that he wouldn't have given me a second glance. I thought that was awful! He asked me why I agreed to go out with him, I said that he carried a good conversation when we met, and I just wanted to get to know more about him.
Well, regardless, we're still together, despite his looks (though he really is attractive), and my conversation skills (he pays attention to my looks AND what I have to say-at least he better).
I guess in our case, the man begins his relationship via visual attraction, and the woman through mental stimulation.

Never worry about asking a really gorgeous woman out, odds are they will accept.

That's just you (I'm assuming you're a guy) seeing all those women as gorgeous. To women, they are just regular women. We find the men, whom you think are ordinary, good looking to us.

I don't know. I've seen both, actually. I've seen women who think they deserve the hottest guys and hot guys who date girls who are not a 10. So, my thoughts are that I have no idea why it seems that way.
Would you do that?

Most women I know can find beauty in just about anything.
Looks don't concern me as much as charm, personality and just all around how a person is as a whole.

i've noticed that too. men are allowed to be shallow in our society. i hate it when an ugly guy has the nerve to say he won't date an ugly woman. who does he think he is?

I think our observations are incorrect. both men and women have the same preferences over all.
