The day I bought my bicycle. I had to earn the $126.50 to purchase a bicycle, 50 cents at a time. It took me over a year to earn the money, so when I purchased the bicycle, it was a very happy day. Back then minimum wage was less than $2.00 per hour, so in today's money I guess the bicycle would have cost more than 3 times as much.
