i have windows 98 and no spyware i tryed to install yahoo free norton but i need 2000 or better . i did install spyware doc. but it is not getting rid of all the porn pop ups and now when i log in i get the same gross porn pop up every time . please help me can't afford to lose my pc and cant afford spy ware that costs money right now .and now my pc is saying that it is running out of memory and i dont know what i can remove or whaT I Have to much of ....waiting for a saviour please ty

First delete Internet Temporary Files, empty the Recycle Bin, delete History if you don't use it.
These are all free and very good. Be sure you update after installing each one before you scan. Fix everything they find. After the item(s) you fix in one program, restart your computer, then scan with the next one. You can run only one Anti-Virus at a time. But you can run more than one Anti-Spyware at a time, they all work together nicely.
AVG 7.5 Anti-Virus is free. This runs & updates on Windows 98 & 98SE, but I don't believe they support 98 if you need help in the forum any more.

When you are installing this, do not put a check by the Tea-Timer if you are not computer savvy as it involves the registry and use in the Default Mode.

These should hopefully get rid of what you have. Spybot also puts bad sites into the Restricted Zone. Read the tutorial.

first of spyware doc has viruis attached to it and yoyu can ask anyone at geek squad about that get trend micrio and spyware from micriosoft you have to run them seperate but it keeps your cokmputor viruis free nortons is alright but you need trend micrio it is great

i have 98 too, i use avg free, spybot S&D and ad-aware, all free and downloadable. they seem to work good.
