check with the court that ordered the payments and they can refer you to the state agency in charge of back child support.

Are you sure the child support agency isn't doing anything? Maybe they can't find the "deadbeat" or maybe s/he is paid under the table or maybe his/her employer is less than ethical and not withholding the amount from his/her checks.

The networks can work but they do cost big time money-- we have seen them take up to 50% of the custodial parents money. The state/county agency gives all the money to the custodial parent, unless they are assistance then the money goes back to pay for the custodian's parent grant.

Next question, are you on assistance? If so he may be paying but that money will be going to the state to pay back your assistance grant.

Has he been making any payments at all? I owe a lot in child support too, but it's because the courts failed to adjust the amount I owe for alimony and were basing my income on $3500 a month. The state has been garnishing my wages since forever, but as long as I make less than half that wage, they can only take up to 50% of my check. If you are complaining because he isn't paying the full amount, but you are getting something, why don't you try cutting him some slack. He is feeling the pain too, you know. If you aren't getting paid at all, then get in there and tell them to garnish his wages. If he is getting paid at a job that is not under the table, then they'll find his *** and stick it to him. Trust me, I know.

i've heard some child support horror storys and yours is not a rare one. sad isnt it? they write the kid(s) off that easy?

those agencies charge a fee of usually 30% of what they are able to recover...and to me, 70% beats nothing. they will go after him worse then the IRS; attaching all assets, leins on property and accounts, etc.

if your CS agency isnt doing what they could, contact the Federal Regional CS office, they usually put some heat on. calling doesnt help. fax them (its proof it was recieved) or write them certified letters. give them your name, case number and case workers name. also give them the CS office contact info.

contact your local legal aid office. they are in all states and most counties. they go on a sliding scale so its free to most. look in the phone book or call the county court clerks office and ask if they have it. see what your options are.

also, make sure its listed on his credit report (as its supposed to be). the state CS office will be able to tell you if it is or not. also make sure there is an income tax refund intercept on the case. any and all refunds are supposed to go to you. unless he's one of the norm guys who works under the table ('cause he thinks he's slick AND a nice guy).

also, post his face on deadbeats sites online.

here are some links that may help and the supportkids site link (who REALLY gets the deadbeats to pay up something). just click on your state and find the subject you want. the last few are to help you.

hang in there and stay strong.

Get a personal attorney. It may cost you money now, but you may win in the end. But, in all honesty, how much do really think you'll get? If he doesn't have the money and is not working, or working very little, it's going to be a long, drawn out, process.

I am not a SAHM I am a maternity nurse. There is a lot that can be done for reflux. The fact that it hurts enough for the baby to cry a lot shows you should try some things. Try talking with your doctor or I will be happy to tell you a few things that you can do while at home and out.
