Unfortunately, Dave Chappelle is not put in the category of just racist, he is put in a much more severe and worse offense: Self Hatred. He obviously has this problem with his overt usage of the "N word" and his rather unflattering skits about black people just to rise a few chuckles out of white people.
@Sara is the best: Your boyfriend suffers from the same problem as Chappelle, he suffers from self hatred. As black people, we are taught whether directly or indirectly from the media, comedians, environment and other social arenas that we are inferior and to find fault within ourselves, which is why we make such lude jokes about our own. It is no wonder Chappelle is married to an asian woman.

He's a comedian that pokes fun at society. He hasnt said much that was different from Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy or Chris Rock. Most white people then and now like them. If Dave is so racist, why did his concert where I live out sell out in an hour. The audience wad probrably 95% white.
What is all of this guilt all of a sudden about blacks finally learning how to laugh at ourselves? Why do whites hate to hear modern day truth about themselves? You are finally excepting the truth that your government has been pulling the wool over your eyes all these centuries.
How about his episode of being a black KKK. That was funny. If I had a dollar for everytime I was called a n*gger/n*gga, I could quit my high paying job and never work again.
Question, to any opened minded and mature white individual;
If the KKK was a minority organization, would they still be around after 141 years of killing, propaganda, and racism?

Yes he's a little racist but who isn't? My boyfriend who is Brazilian is 1/4 black. He can't stand blacks in the U.S. because he feels they complain about nothing. None of them make an effort to do anything about their conditions. At our scholl, most of the black kids make stupid comments on how they are so discriminated against. My boyfriend also feels that blacks in the U.S. have lost their culture, not one black kid in my scholl could tell you about their ethnicity other than 'black'. My black friends agree with me that their people are blaming white people for everything... when in fact it was their own kind who sold them into slavery. And my Brazilian boyfriend should know a lot about slavery since the Portuguese brought most slaves to the Americas... mostly Brazil! Americans should loosen up and poke fun of one another in a friendly manner. My boyfriend does have black friends and they do that a lot... Dave Chappelle is sort of helping this but he is also undermining it as well when he picks on his own kind a lot. He should make fun of white people more.

I love Dave Chappelle, so i may be biased, but no, i dont think he is.
He does stereotype, but that's what made him famous. He's married to an asian woman too, and i know that doesn't exclude him from being racist, but you'd think he'd know better if he was.

I don't know. I don't follow his material, but I'm from close to where he lives. I think most of his stage act is just that.....a stage act. In real life, he's supposedly a friendly, laid back, balanced guy. He's not going to grab headlines on stage by being a panzy. At any rate, they raked Michael Richards over the coals for his comments, but when D.L. Hughley did his bit on crystal meth being "crack for crackers", nobody (including me) blinked an eye. A lot of what press you get depends on who you're offending.

No I don't. Isn't his wife Asian? He makes fun of everyone no matter what race you are. Most comedians do.

European Americans like any chance to denigrate African Americans, especially when they can convince themselves that they are being PC about it.
