Nas is more consistent as far as lyrical skill and content; Lupe is a contender but he hasn't been in it as long as the others...
I'd say Lil Wayne. He's 24, 25, with as much skill as Jay-Z had in his prime, at 30, 31.

I think the people like Jay Z and Nas are definitely better, since they've been around longer, truer to hiphop. What they sing/rap about is real, not some glorifiyed lifestyle.
