no they wouldn't be sold on street, just like alcohol and ciggerettes aren't sold on street, there's no way gangs could compete with educated professionals and people who've earned degrees in marketing, etc. people wouldn't buy it on street if they could get it much cheaper and better quality, and safer from drugstore.

and cops could go about doing something worthwhile and actually looking for real criminals and helping people and saving lives , rather than worrying about such little things.

They'd have to go back to mugging people, which doesn't pay nearly as well as hustling drugs. The "drug war" is a huge, expensive disaster for the country and the rest of the world, nothing but prohibition all over again. Governments know this, but it's such a good vote-getter that it will be a long time if ever before enough people come to their senses and demand that *all* drugs (and prostitution) be legalized, taxed and regulated the same as alcohol and tobacco.

legalize drugs - What a moronic concept. There are a lot of drugs out there that are legal and people abuse those just as much as the illegal ones. If we legalized all drugs then things would be much worse. How many people would need medical insurance then?
