NO. not youre processor only, if you change your processor you'll most likely have to change your mother board as well, And depending on what you're looking for you may need to change other things as well, eg, memory, disc space. Go to your nearest computer service store, the guys there are more than willing to tell you what are the best options for what ever you want.

You can change processors, but you are limited to what processors will fit in the socket on your motherboard. You probably can find one that is a little bit faster that will fit, but the improvements in speed will likely not be noticeable. For a noticeable performance increase, you will likely need to buy a new motherboard with a socket that can handle a faster processor. You might look into buying a motherboard/processor package from a dealer.

Unless you have a newer motherboard that includes networking utilities to bypass the processor everything goes through it. So it stands to reason a faster processor will reduce bottlenecks. As far as RAM goes, the more temporary memory you have the less has to be backed up on storage, making it more efficient at running apps that use a lot of system resource or many apps at once.

Not really, your very limited as to how much you can upgrade processor, especially if its intel, because of changing mother boards. Also, it's likely you wouldn't see much of an improvement on most things without upgrading the other parts of your computer.

Consult your computer or Motherboard documentation.
If they are the same socket, usually, if I knew more about your system specs I could give a more defined answer.
More RAM will show an improvement before a faster CPU would.
