At aged 60 (birthday yesterday) and a size 18 I consider myself 'fat' but am working on it. I have just lost 3 stone (42 lbs) with 2 to go. Christmas and my birthday (yesterday) are hurdles to be carefully calculated and organised around. I will win!!! I refuse to be defeated!!!
I am 5'4" and weigh 12 stone 11 lbs.

If you are considering the size of clothes, then I would say above 14 since an average American woman is that size. Below that is fine. However, size 00 is really thin that only Nicole Richie can fit in. In a way, size 2 is the perfect size in the market. Not that I'm saying everyone should be at that size. Just giving my opinion. As long as you feel beautiful and confident, you are what you feel.

Its not just size, height makes a big difference. I'm size 6 but only 5ft so not skinny at all but if I was 5'6" I would look anorexic. Also depends on whether your body is toned or flabby. Marilyn Monroe was a size 16 but that is a modern size 12 & she was considered to be curvacous & womanly by some & a fatty by others so guess its what size you feel happy with unless you have an eating disorder & your body image is distorted

bigger girls tend to be the norm these days, stick thin insects are phasing out.

i'd say 14-16 is considered big, 18 and above and you would be considered fat. on the reverse i think 8-10 are normal thin, less than 8 and sorry just too thin and your damaging your body more than the overweight people.

i have been out with girls from a size 8 to a size 20 and i can tell you one thing they were all perfect in their own way and their size didn't really bother me. it's the person on the inside that counted.

It really depends on your height, but for an average adult or teen I would say that size 0 is too small, and that size 16 and up would be fat. But if you are really short or something then size zero might be a good size for you, and then again if your are a giant then you might wear a larger size, but still be skinny. If you think that you may be overweight take a trip to your doctor.

I would say size 20 UK is fat

size 10 or under is too skinny.

Depends on height and also whether your fit or not. You could be a toned size 16 and not look fat.

I personally think bigger girls tend to be sexier unless they have rolls of fat everywhere. Don't know if you've seen that girl in Grey's anatomy. I think her name is cally but she oozes sex appeal and she's got to be a size 16/18.
Everyone knows marilyn monroe was a size 16 and did she look fat?

depends on your height, and age really!!! i find that women who are 30 and over can be a size 16 yet thin, but a girls around 20 or so being a size 16 tend to look a little on the heavy side. me my self i'm a size 10/12 i'm 5'7" and people tell me i'm about right. but i still feel fat.

Anything that Hannibal Lector would eat with a glass of Chianti, I Think size 12 is a reasonable size as long as your not 4 foot tall. Too thin is when you hear the jingle of bones in the bedroom. Not very nice.

ok bmi is not a good way of determing wether or not you are overweight, you can have two people of the same height and weight but one fat and one muscley and they may both come out the same, which for one would be wrong. you can combine tests like body fat %, hip/waist ratio etc.to get an idea, but to be honest, if you are happy at your weight, you can run up the stairs without dying at the top, i would say that you are ok. we can always do better with our health, but it does not need to become obsessive. Decide yourself, i know that if i have to squeeze into a size 12, ive put on weight! but for the ? asked, probably a size 18< too big, 6> too small.

To the media your fat if you have any flesh on your body which is plain wrong! women are supposed to have curves. Too thin to me is a size 10 or under..on any height. 16 is big if your under 5ft 5 but over thatr n youre not 'fat' under a size 20.
