People will respect you more for being honest.
Really.
The truth will always come out, and you will look terrible for letting your friend take the blame!
I have been on the other side of this. I once got into trouble coz my "friends" stole the mean girls diary, photocopied it and stuck it around the school. (Just like in the movie Mean Girls)
Not only did I have the mean girl after me, but also the school principal thought it was me too. I kept waiting for my friends to bail me out. But they didnt.
It was so awful.
If you are truly her friend you need to bail her out of this situation. (no matter what it is)
Also your self respect will suffer if you keep quiet.
Also karma will come and bite you on the butt!
Tell the truth. Even though it will be hard the weight of guilt will be off you, and no matter what the consequences you will live through it!
All the best to you and your friend.

It has happened to me, when I was very young, and it is still painful to remember, being the youngest, two of my friends thought I would not be punished since the damage made was substantial. I had to stand there and see the consequence of what they did. They never mentioned it again, and I got over it, I never thought much of these two friends.Do the right thing, and apologize, explain that it was not your intention to hurt anyone, least of all your friend. You will learn from this experience, take on your responsibility, and you will become a better person for it. God bless you and Merry
Christmas

You tell the truth.... so you'll get into trouble... but you did it... so imagine how your friend is feeling, getting into trouble she doesn't deserve... how would you feel?

Do you want to lose your friend over this? Do you believe in karma, that what goes around comes around? I'm glad I'm not your "friend". Friends don't let friends take the rap for them...

If you are a real friend you will fess up and tell the truth. It's the right thing to do. What would you want your friend to do if the roles were reversed?

If you tell the truth you don't get in such bad condition as when you don't and just wait. You don't want to lose a friendship over a lie

Let me put this simply, if you were really good friends you'd rat yourself out because having someone else get into trouble for something you did just isn't right. No matter how badly the consequences are.

This is rather simple actually. Its a matter of which you value more, your friendship or your reputation?

If you value your friendship, and want to preserve it, you should tell the truth.

If you value your reputation, then you would not want to be known as a liar, or someone who sacrifices friends for selfish reasons,so you should tell the truth.

See, like I said, it is rather simple.

Fess up! It always better to tell the truth. You should always be prepared to take responsibility for your own actions. Believe me, people will respect you for it.
