No, both continents are north of the Equator.

The shortest route from North America to Europe would be via the Arctic Ocean and North Pole, but most airlines generally fly east over the Atlantic Ocean. You could also fly west over the Pacific, which would mean crossing the International Dateline, but then you'd also have to go across all of Asia--a very long route.
