other countries have Boxing Day where after christmas they have like 50% off sales - do department store in USA do this?

On December 26th there will be huge sales. I hope to pick up a 2nd cheap christmas tree for the basement for next year....start expanding the cheer!

normally, the stores do have sales. They have to get rid of there inventory before the first of the year or they get taxed on all items...
