It is recommended that you wait until you have missed a period. You may however begin testing with the First Response HPT 9 days post ovulation. If it does show positive it will be really faint or may not show at all. HCG levels double every 24-48 hrs. You can check again to confirm a faint line or if it was negative the first time it may show positive. They are expensive and waiting till you have missed your period is your best bet, but when you want it so bad, you want to know as soon as possible. I got a very faint positive result 9 days post ovulation. It was faint but it was positive. Good luck

you can usually test 7-10 days after intercourse, and if you are pregnant it also depends on the amount hcg..some women dont have as much till much later in pregnancy to detect a positive ..and some can get a positive as early as 9 dpo(days past ovulation)

You can take firtst response or clear blue to get a result 3-5 days before your missed period, but be fore warned that the earlier you take it before your period is supposed to come the least accurate it is. Say you do it 3 days before you period is supposed to come. You have a 55% chance of getting a "pregnant" reading then if you were to take the test the day before your period onset, therefore your percantage would have a 92% chance of reading "pregnant". My best advice would be to wait it out to the day of your period, I know its stressful, but you will get a better reading then and loose less money from the amount of tests you buy. Or you could get a Clear Blue and get the bonus test take one at any given time, if it comes out negative, there is always a second test you could save till the day of your period, same amount for one test, but with two!
best of luck to you!

usually about two weeks after ovulation you can start testing, because thats when most women are due for their period. BUT I dont know anything about your cycles, so its hard to say...

You should wait until you have missed your period. Then test and test in the morning (1st urination of the morning) when your hormone levels are at their highest and most concentrated.
