The actual opposite of nothing is somehting.
Example: You have a piece of paper with "nothing" on it. To fix this condition you add "something". You do not have to add "everything", nor could you, to your paper to negate it's state of containing "nothing".
Now the opposite of "absolute nothingness" (black hole, singularity) could be "all things" or "everything", and yet "something" is still a debatable solution to that condition.

Nothing means 0 or not a thing. Then the opposite of not a thing should be everything. I feel that anything doesn't say enough. As for nothing - that cannot be an antonym since it's the same thing. I hope that's correct...

The opposite of 5 is -5 the opposite of -7 is 7, the opposite of nothing or 0 is still 0 so it is still nothing.
