I have a fantastic fake tree which most people think is real. However, the lack of the great scent is missing. I have a child with severe asthma & is also allergic to many things. One of which is trees and grasses. So, no real tree for us or it's Christmas in the E.R.
I have also come to love not having to throw out the tree, worrying about the tree drying out, pine needles on the floor, and potential fire hazard a real one can pose.

I used to always buy real trees. We now have a fake tree. I miss the smell of a real one, but I don't miss messing around putting it in the stand and the needles. We're thinking of not having a tree at all next year.

Well the problem with real trees, is that you have to buy a new one every year, and that adds up to a lot of money. Fake trees do cost some money, but you don't have to buy a new one every year. And if you find a really nice one, it won't look just like plastic or rubber. Plus, you'll have to worry about getting a nice tree with real ones, and will have to worry about getting it early enough. Then if you don't have the time, then it'll rot.

I used to think a real tree was the only way to go. Then I see the trees vanishing and the air getting worse because those trees are gone. I may be only one person one tree but I will save a portion of our air. Fake trees are OK but I think I will not do a plastic tree but ceramic I can handle.

I like real trees for the same reasons, however I use a fake tree for 2 reasons. 1. no clean-up with fake trees 2. real cut trees dry out and can catch fire easier than a fake tree.

Yeah, I have always prefered real trees too. But my parents have decided that they are too much hassle. So we now have a fake tree. But it is the best looking fake tree that I have ever seen. I just wish that it had the smell.

I don't like the idea of killing a tree each year to have it in the house just to look pretty.

We have a fake tree that's pre-decorated beautifully with little woodland critters and tons of lights and it used to be a grandmother's so it has sentimental value.

We keep thinking of buying a live tree and planting after the ground thaws, but we just haven't the money to buy a $100+ live tree each year.

I like real trees as well; however with small children, disabled adults who don't see very well and animals I bought a fake one last year... It's much easier to clean up after Christmas and I can set it up or take it down without having to worry about watering it or vaccuming up pine needles.... Mine looks like a real tree by the way.... the cheaper you go the worse they look.

Real trees for me -- smell, and the none perfectness of the real tree. Plus, I like a kind of big tall and sort of fat tree.....can't find that in a fake tree!

I prefer fake because you can buy it once and never have to buy one ever again. Plus i dont like when the needles on a real tree fall off
