i do. do you get them a present anyway even if you and that person arent really close. or if that person considers you a close friend but u dont consider them a close friend?

Most of the time, yes. But that's the true meaning of a gift...it's something you give, not what you expect to receive in return. If the person truly gave from the heart, they shouldn't expect anything in the first place. If you want to give a gift, give it because you'd like to give them a gift, regardless of whether they have initially given you one or not. If you don't want to give them a gift because you don't feel you're close, just a simple "thank you" should be enough to appreciate the gift - or at least send them a thank you card.

Yes, I feel bad because I know that they actually thought of me, but I never thought of them. This Christmas, I gave all my friends a present, just to know that I'm thinking of them. I still give people presents for being my friend, because without them, I'd be a very lonely person... but I don't give presents to bribe.

yea i would feel bad if someone got me a present and i didnt get them one. u dont have to be close to them. u can still get them a gift even if u arent close.

I might feel a bit overwhelmed or guilty but you should never feel bad about receiving gift from someone that you didn't reciprocate the gesture.
Theres no need to buy them a gift back, its kind of a slap in the face to do that, like oh, I'm sorry, I forgot you but heres my guilty gift.
Don't worry about it, if they like you enough to do it, then feel special. Its the season of giving, not bad vibes.

No i only get my best friends presents and even then i only got one of my friends a present but he is like a brother to me so its like family but other than that no .
