the first thing you should do is check the switches on the dryer, is the heat selector set to air fluff? then if you have access to a multi meter unplug the dryer and test the receptacle to see that you have power to it.the dryer needs 2) 120 volt feeds to heat. it will run with just one as you have learned the last time. if you have power to both sides of the receptacle proceed with opening the dryer. when you get it open, use the meter to test for continuity (ohms) across the element terminals. if you get no continuity take the element out and replace it. if it isn't that, you have switches, thermostats, and the timer that could be bad. at that point it's best to call a repairman. hope this helps, good luck and happy holidays!

it could be several things. a bad timer or a bad heating element are the most likely causes. pull the unit away from the wall and check the elment for burnt places or melted wire. it si easily fixed by replacing the element wire. if the timer is bad, you need to have it checked by a professional. it would be better to take it in than to call for a service call since the call itself may be $60-70 just to come to the house. all the timer may cost is 20-25 installed.

is there a reset switch near the heater element. there is probably some type of heat activated (fusable) link. most likely the heat element is either loose or needs replaced. the fuse may have a delay. my best advice is to replace the element. use the model no. from the whole unit.order from any repair or supply center. good luck

your heating element is gone. cheaper to go and buy a new one because labor intensive it is.
one other thing, could be a faulty heat switch stuck in the open position. use an ohm meter and check continuity to the switch.

If it's under warranty, they should fix it for free.
