Your everyday mind...the one that calculates, theorizes and has opinions, is not your real mind. Your true Mind—as in the Mind, Body & Soul—is uncluttered by all that nonsense. So, by thinking less the everyday mind is silenced and the true Mind can be heard. Wisdom is innate...is it more about remembering than learning.

Well, in my experience you can "over think" an issue. and then your mind gets all clouded with other junk. (Ex. unlikely possibilites, scenarios, etc.) That's why meditation is such a useful tool, because you clear your mind and then re-think about your issue and it is clearer. Basically, thinking too much on a given situation causes brain overload and just increases your stress level. And that's not good! Hope this helps!

You simplify the situation or the core to the question, and then build on it. You should only brainstorm when you lack the core. ; )
